Nine of Swords

There is no use crying over spilled milk, yet with the Nine of Swords you more than likely are.

This is a card that clearly shows an unhappy or stressed state of mind. It often comes up with lack of sleep as there is so much going on in the person's mind that they cannot drop off to the land of nod.

Perhaps this is something to keep in mind as a good night's sleep can be the antidote to many of life's obstacles.

If this is you then you have to realise that there is a lot going on in the mind, and not enough room left over for pleasant thoughts and feelings. Worries and niggling thoughts that can turn into nightmares are best knocked on the head before they get out of hand as these can cause bad moods, arguments and more stress.

Imagine how short tempers can become aggravated through lack of sleep, then you basically have the Nine of Swords in a nutshell. All that worry without answers gets you nowhere.

If you are dealing with someone in your life who is going through this, then it is best to give them a wide berth until they resolve what is bothering them. The last thing you need is to be drawn into someone else's nightmare unless they truly ask for and want your help.

If this card is about you, and remember it may be more to do with someone you are close to, then you are sending yourself a message that you need to be kinder to yourself. Life is not as bad as it appears and there is no use losing more sleep than you need to.

Look for sensible, logical solutions to what is troubling you so you can get some quality “me" time soon.
