Judgement

Judgement is a card of both resurrection and forgiveness, putting the past behind you.

The first aspect can symbolize the revival of dormant affairs, situations that have become dull or projects that have lain fallow.

But more importantly, as an advice card Judgement speaks of forgiveness, the willingness to let go of the past. Forgiveness can be about the other person, but it is more about you and your inner peace.

It's easy to hold onto anger from the past, but the monumental amount of space we open up to new things by letting that past go can be truly astounding.

If you are finding it hard to forgive a person, forgive the situation instead. Forgive yourself for feeling you might have wasted your time on someone or something that was not in your best interest. Forgive the situation, because that person wasn't strong, mature, or able to be supportive enough and couldn't react in the way that you wanted. Forgive that person or that situation, so that you can make the energy clear, and are able to move forward without hanging on to any sort of negativity. Forgive yourself for not doing things you thought you should have done in the past, or maybe things that you regret doing.

Forgive so that you can start from today and focus forward in peace. When people say that cliché about being able to start new every day, they mean it. But, it's a choice you have to make and you will need to forgive the past in order to do so. This can be hard, especially if the situation is traumatic.

You don't have to forgive a particular person for hurting you, especially if they are not sorry or are unable to hear your apology if you hurt them. But you can try to move on from what happened, by doing your best to harness your strength moving forward. You do not have to do this on your own either. Rely on those who promote your getting better and reinforce your feeling whole.

Listen, this is not easy, and it's not something that should ever be forced, especially if it involves extreme trauma, but something to instead think about as a possible solution if you are finding yourself debilitated by anger or regret and feeling there is no way out of it. Remember this doesn't have to be for the other person; it is for you.

There are books I've read, like Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz, which have helped me in the past with what I've needed to forgive. Ruiz outlines peoples' humanity and flaws as a way to help you try to figure out a way to solve what you are feeling and empower you as a more enlightened person. Meditation will help give you clarity and help you get rid of some negative emotions as well.

I will leave this with what I tell my clients when I see this card and they are feeling stuck, and/or worried: "Don't worry, you will be able to put this behind you."
