Eight of Swords

“Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands.” - Unknown

Element of air power: The Eight of Swords indicates the feeling of being trapped and victimized. You may feel powerless because, in your mind, you feel that changing the situation might be beyond you. This feeling of helplessness that you have, the feeling that you have no structure in your life, has played a major role in making your situation worse.

Surrendering one’s power to an unknown entity, whether it's fate or God, the government or something else, means that you are giving away your own personal responsibility to affect your own change.

We create our own reality by focusing on that which we want to bring into it. You add to a selected timeline the associated factors to build a new timeline for yourself, to strip away distractions so that you can focus on who you are. When you know who you are, you are able to take responsibility for yourself. Therein lies self-empowerment.

At time of imbalance: You may feel trapped in your relationship or in business, feel smothered, or in a state of fear. Because of your fear, you have relinquished all responsibility to the other party. You may feel as though you have no choices, but this usually isn’t the case when you look at the bigger picture. You deny yourself possibilities when you are too scared to do the hard work of communicating your boundaries or standing up for yourself. In order to make changes, you must be the one to take action and control.

Medicine: We are taught to come into our own emotional maturity and self-acceptance. We recognize our own power and responsibility, especially after a long struggle with doubt. We are now capable of making conscious decisions because we are confident in who we are, and that our personal power can change our inner world. Time to free yourself from your past, clear out that old energy from your heart, and create more space to feel freer in your own Truth.

Mantra: I am true to my Self.
