The Boat Card
The “Three of Wands” is connected to the zodiac fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. I named the “Three of Wands” the “Boat Card” in my Tarot deck! I love the “Boat Card” because it represents action, why action, because the Wands represent action and the number three (3) represents spiritual timing!
The “Three of Wands” represents that you are going after something you really want, and it will not take long until you achieve this goal! The timing of the “Three of Wands” is fast!
The “Boat Card” represents your “Boat” and refers to something that you really want, something that nobody can dissuade you from. You feel very close to getting what you desire and the energy about your “Boat” and the new direction is making you feel alive again. You feel that you have thought everything through and you are not changing your mind, and there is no turning back! You are going for it and putting your plans into action!
The “Three of Wands” represents the third stage of a project or venture that you are working on, which is now nearing success. You feel that you have made the right choices, and your foundation is strong. You are determined to achieve your goals, and you can see everything starting to fall into place. Although there is still more to be done, you feel confident, and you will continue to move forward until everything is completed, which will not be very long.
The “Boat” represents something that you really desire with great passion. Boats are named after women because they are beautiful, and your yearning and excitement to achieve your desire are beautiful in themselves.
The boat could be a new relationship that is in the beginning stages or something that you really want: a new car, a new house, a new job, or personal items that you want to buy. Whatever it is, your energy bristles with strength, and you feel like you are getting launched or torpedoed into this venture unstoppably at “Mach Speed.” The boat stands for something that you really want, and nobody can dissuade you. Your anticipation and vitality assure you that you have thought everything through, and you are not changing your mind or turning back. This is a very exciting time in your life.

Symbolic meaning of holding onto three torches: The number three (3) is a metaphor for spiritual timing, a message telling you that you are going to achieve what you desire.
Symbolic meaning of the hills in the background: Hills and mountains are a metaphor for a goal. The hills are very close in this card, and not far away which represents the goal is very close to achieving.

The archetype in this card looks like they are holding onto the timing torch, remember the number three (3) represents spiritual timing, and the archetype appears to be asking about the timing of their long awaited goal.

Again, I am asking that is my goal is so close to coming true, when is my lover, a Leo and I am an Aries, going to tell me that he loves me? Is this going to happen before he leaves for Hawaii to see his mother or after he comes back? If my goal is so close when is he going to ask me to marry him, when will I be free to get remarried? Will he be faithful to me if/when we get married?

Hi Safina,
I love your perspective on the Three of Wands. I had tto comment because just recently, (Feb. 1st) Lotus Tarot sent us Caroline Anna’s interpretation of the Three of Wands and it was quite different; more cautious and reserved, less confirming and dynamic.
I’ve read other interpretations as well and am slowly coming to realize that one’s own intuitive skill in interpreting the meaning of a Tarot card can make the difference between a good and a great reader.
