HH (Happy Hardy)

HHMy study of tarot began in late 1999 after a chance remark about the origins of tarot piqued my interest. Since then, what started with a stirring of curiosity has become dedication to understand historical tarot, occult tarot, and contemporary tarot.

Studying the tarot has assisted me in developing a more finite and cohesive spirituality. I have been forced to examine in detail what I hold as belief and faith, while studying the symbols on the cards and their obvious Christian beginnings.

My study of the tarot has allowed me to develop a new and more finely detailed understanding of my personal rhythms. Examining the cards, their history, their evolution, their symbology, and other’s attempts to fit the cards in a personal mould, have forced me to settle back and examine myself from a different perspective. Sometimes what I have witnessed has not been pleasing, but as life is all about choices, I have been gifted with the opportunity to change.

When I shuffle the cards and lay a spread I am looking for insight, empowerment, and increased self-awareness for myself or for the querant. Tarot cards do not have meanings, the symbols on the cards have meanings and how those symbols are interpreted and the story they tell are where tarot can assist us to understand life, our place in life, and how we can begin to alter our perceptions of life.

It’s in the cards! Happy Hardy
