The Queen of Cups – The Timing Card

By Safina :: :: 60 comments

The Queen of Cups is numerated thirteen (13). When you see the number 13, do you think about bad luck, broken mirrors, black cats, and Friday the 13th?

The Queen of Cups does not represent bad luck! She represents the timing card in my tarot deck.

The Queen of Cups is connected to the royal monarchy, of the tarot. Her role is to predict the timing of an event that will happen in your life, which may be good or bad, depending on the surrounding cards.

The timing may represent the transformation of an old, outdated way of thinking or of a lifestyle that has been outgrown. One door may close, so that another door will open for you.

The timing is connected to a major unexpected turn in your life, the Queen wants to show you what is not working, or what needs to change, or what will change to help you transform and restructure your path.

The Queen is holding a golden cup which represents (something very valuable, and in the Queens eyes, something very spiritual and sacred). She holds the golden cup with her right hand (the right side represents the present and the timing of right now). The Queen is at work, in deep prayer, with her eyes closed, connecting to the universe.

In the background, there is a sea, and if you look closely, the current is choppy, which represents a turbulent flow of her emotions, and she needs to move on and go willingly with the flow of change, and the messages she is receiving, in her thoughts.

The sky is blue and represents the Queen’s thoughts and emotions. Did you know the color blue represents thought and emotion, in the tarot? The Queen sits on her throne, and if you look closely, you will see that her feet and gown are in the body of water, and there is a divine shimmering. The shimmering looks like magic, but it represents the timing, and her divine connection to the universe.

The presence of water represents her unconscious thoughts. The Queen of Cups is connected to the Scorpio water sign, in the tarot. The Scorpio water sign represents a personality that is emotional, nurturing and determined and always lead with their heart.

Did you know the Queen of Cups is a very spiritual and religious woman? She represents a woman that is emotional, sensitive, affectionate, loving, and is connected to unconditional love, motherhood, fertility, pregnancy, and a fulfilling relationship.

Did you know the Queen is a good friend and counselor, she has been through rough emotional times, but she is a true friend that will help you sort through troubled times. The Queen’s friends and family adore her and count on her because she is honest and speaks from her heart.

The Heart Chakra—Anahata

Take a look at the green hills, in the background, of this card, because they represent the future connected to excitement, happiness, inspiration, vitality, energy, and making clear decisions. The color green represents fertility, growth, creativity, harmony and the feeling of calmness and comfort which is connected to the heart chakra. The heart chakra regulates our emotional health.

Lastly, the Queen is praying to help you balance your heart chakra, so that you are able to give and receive love. You will finally love yourself and be able to love others unconditionally with compassion, trust, forgiveness, wisdom, stability and patience.

With Love And Joy,

Safina
