Three Card Spread ~ Transformation

3-Empress, LotusThe Past = The Empress: The Empress comes out in the past position sending a heartfelt message about a lesson I learned in the past. The Major Arcana cards represent the lessons that you are going to learn or have already learned through your life experiences, and the Empress is a Major Arcana card!

The Empress is multifaceted because this card is ruled by the planet Venus, and Venus rules the zodiac signs of Taurus and Libra.

When the Empress comes out in the past position, she/he represents the time when you met the wrong person and ended up with a broken heart or the time when you deceived someone and broke their heart or the time of a missed opportunity. Did you know that the Empress is related to Cupid or Eros, in Greek Mythology, and represents the connection to the Libra zodiac sign?

3-Empress-RiderThe Libra zodiac sign is related to Aphrodite, in Greek Mythology, and she was a married woman that had many affairs with the gods and mortals. She had an affair with Ares, and Ares is the counterpart or equivalent for Mars in Greek Mythology (the Greek god of war). The long term affair between Aphrodite and Ares produced a child (Cupid). Ares is related to the Chariot card and represents the sexy prince and Aphrodite’s secret lover!

The Taurus zodiac sign is related to Demeter. In Greek Mythology, Persephone (The High Priestess) was a beautiful young woman of child-bearing age who was loved and adored by her mother, family and friends. Persephone was the daughter of Zeus (The Emperor), the king of the gods. Persephone’s mother was Demeter (The Empress, the element of earth), the goddess of agriculture.

Cupid is the youngest of the gods and the offspring of Venus (the goddess of love) and Mars (the god of war). Cupid inherits the traits of both his parents. The god of both love and war, an amalgamation reflected in his bow and arrow, an arrow infused with passion that targets what it strikes. There may be no turning back, because of your desire to be loved, which impels you to take a chance and obey your intense desire to bond together, despite the great risk, danger, and compulsion of falling in love.

When Cupid (Venus + Mars) meets in both of your birth charts, a potent energy of love begins to brew beneath the surface and is always ultimately unleashed. Cupid shoots love arrows into the hearts of the unaware, creating either an intense, ecstatic love or the erotic love that leads to a broken heart. With the Empress coming out in the past position, it suggests that I went thought a serious relationship breakup, and that’s true because I went through a divorce. The timing of the breakup happened when the constellation Virgo left the sky in the month of September which is related to the Empress, and the time of Libra!

Safina’s Lesson: In the past, spirit told me not to marry this man, but I did not listen.

Astrology Note: The Empress has a multifaceted personality because Venus rules the sign of Taurus, but also the sign of Libra. Taurus is related to the element of earth (April 20 – May 20). Libra is related to the element of air (September 23 – October 23). The three decans of Taurus and Libra in astrology define the Empress’s multifaceted personality.

Taurus and the first decan = Venus (strong likes and dislikes, hates change, social but stubborn), the second decan = Mercury (organized, the determined worker, speaks, writes and communicates with confidence), and the third decan = Saturn (strong minded, reliable, observant and protective).

Libra and the first decan = Venus (companionship, social, extravagant and charming), the second decan = Uranus (original, independent, candid, popular, outgoing but also unpredictable), and the third decan = Mercury (witty, attention seeker, curious, non-emotional and judgmental).

The Timing: The timing of the Empress is 1-30 days or related to the time of April 20 to May 20 or the time of September 23 to October 23.

1-the magician, lotusThe Present = The Magician Reversed: The Magician comes out in the reversed position sending a strong heartfelt message about a lesson I learned in the past or was going to learn in the future.

In the reversed position, the Magician represents the trickster, someone that is going to trick you or try to dupe you! The Major Arcana cards represent the lessons that you are going to learn or have already learned through your life experiences, and the Magician is a Major Arcana card! The Magician is multifaceted because this card is ruled by the planet Mercury, and Mercury rules the zodiac signs of Gemini and Virgo.

The Magician was the man I was married to, and in the reversed position, you cannot trust the Magician, he is off balance and falling into his darker side. With the Judgement card crossing the Magician, I was going to experience something that I was not going to like. When the Magician comes out in the reversed position, look for a personality change, but also beware and understand that the “Magician” may also keep you waiting with his secret strength of silence until he is ready to reveal what he/she wants to say!

1-magician-riderSafina’s Lesson: I should have thought more about his personality change and realized something was wrong, because he was always picking on me about everything, and this change in personality happened because he was comparing me to someone else, his new lover!

Astrology Note: The Magician has a multifaceted personality because Mercury rules the sign of Gemini and Virgo. Gemini is related to the element of air (May 21 to June 21). Virgo is related to the element of earth (August 23 to September 22). The three decans of Gemini and Virgo define the Magicians multifaceted personality.

Gemini and the first decan = Mercury (quick thinker, able to speak, write and make decisions quickly), the second decan = Venus (takes risks for love, loves new adventures and is very social), and the third decan = Uranus (witty, confident and unpredictable).

Virgo and the first decan = Mercury (very observant and a problem solver with high standards), the second decan = Saturn (determined, detailed and a perfectionist), and the third decan = Venus (creative, takes risks for love, able to write and speak with confidence).

The Timing: The timing of the Magician is immediate or 1-30 days or related to May 21 to June 21 or August 23 to September 22.

20-Judgement-lotusThe Future = Judgement: Judgement comes out in the future position sending a strong heartfelt message about a lesson I learned in the past or was going to learn in the future.

The Major Arcana cards represent the lessons that you are going to learn through your life experiences, and Judgement is a Major Arcana card!

When the Judgement card appears in your reading, it represents a monumental change is in the works. This card represents that there is going to be an announcement, and that you are going to receive a heartfelt message that is good or bad depending on the surrounding cards, and the Judgement card is the cheater card in my deck.

20-judgement, rider

Safina’s Lesson: Although I was not going to see the beauty in this marriage breakup in the beginning, I would see the beauty in it later. When a marriage comes to an end, you do not know where you are headed, and it projects fear into you, because everything that you once knew has changed.

However, how can you trust a person that cheats on you and treats you without respect and makes you feel like you are walking on egg shells because they are grading you against the new person in their life? You can’t, so it’s the time to forgive yourself and the person that hurt you, and know that there is a better person waiting for you when you are ready to embrace the future again.

Astrology Note: Judgement is ruled by the zodiac sign of Scorpio, the element of water (October 24 to November 21), and the planets Pluto and Mars. Pluto will destroy something to transform your life. Pluto hides everything in direct motion, but when Pluto turns retrograde, everything that was hidden comes out into the spotlight for everyone to see. Mars is the original ruler of Scorpio, the planet of action and courage. The three decans of Scorpio define Judgement’s personality.

Scorpio and the first decan = Pluto (power, quick, loyal and mysterious), the second decan = Neptune (transformation, impatient, idealistic and hates waiting), and the third decan = Moon (social, strong morals and judgmental).

The Timing: The timing of Judgement is 1-30 days or related to October 24 to November 21.
