Everyone wants to be happy but not all of us know how. Sometimes in life we can feel pretty down. I wrote this post today because I just felt inspired to share the insights that often come through from angels when people ask me how they can be happier.
Enjoy The Moment
Do rush through your day? If so, stop and smell the roses. Rather than hurry today, enjoy the life when it happens, in the moment. It doesn’t matter whether that pleasant moment is waking up all warm in bed, a hug from a friend, or seeing something beautiful. It is being here now and enjoying each moment you can that will create a much happier day for you. What was your favourite moment today?
Have Dreams For Your Life
There is something very special about having something to look forward to in life. I believe this is why readings on the future are so popular, as it can make us very happy when we know we have something good waiting for us ahead. Having a goal is a special kind of dream for the future because it makes us very happy when we are working towards something special. What is your dream?
Know How Much Is Enough
We all need a certain amount of money energy in order to take care of ourselves and share with others. It is good for us to receive and share abundance in our lives. The key is to know how much is enough. Don’t work so much that you miss out on love, family, friendship and your health. It’s important to know when you have enough and to stay balanced in life.
Run Your Own Race
It is easy to fall into the habit of comparing ourselves to others but it isn’t healthy. We all have different paths to lead. We also start in different places with varying levels of support and luck along the way. What matters most is your own personal achievement. Look at how far you have come and consider your successes and give yourself a pat on the back. Then dream the future.
Take Initiative At Work
Like anything in life, your work and career are what you make it. Find ways to express your creativity, help your team mates, suggest improvements, or find new ways to help. You will create more rewarding work and feel more in control, and possibly even be promoted or attract new customers. How can you have fun at work today?
Friends And Family
Good families, friends, and supportive relationships are very important. You really do not need 500 friends on Facebook, just a few close relationships where you feel understood, nurtured and loved. Move towards people who lift you up in life and share positive energy with you. It is very important who we have around us in life.
Work It Baby!
As well as keeping you fit and well, regular exercise can be fun, social, and rewarding. You will have a release of feel-good body chemistry, feel better about how you look, and feel motivated to eat better. If you are a light or energy worker, exercise is an excellent way to ground you and keep both feet on the Earth. Put down the donut!
Smile Like You Mean It
Even when you are feeling down, find something to smile and laugh about, even if you are just laughing at a bad day. A positive outlook will lift you up immediately. And, even better, if you can make your positive outlook a habit, you will find that this works like a magnet attracting in happier and better days for you in the future.
Sharing Is Caring
You can’t help but feel really good when you help another person. There is even a name for it – “helper’s high”. When you share of your time, finances and heart, remember that the goodness will be returned to you many times over. It is simply good karma.
Have you ever considered keeping a gratitude journal? It will help you feel more optimistic, and more likely to reach your goals. Gratitude letters to people we love can also be extremely uplifting.
