Tarot Card 2 – The High Priestess

By Alison Day :: :: No comments

We started our journey through the 22 major arcana cards with The Fool card . We will be travelling together through each of the 22 cards in sequence, however should you intuitively feel like reading any of these cards again at any particular time in the future, trust your instinct and do so.

Often we get different insights or ideas each time we read something. It’s why I often read a book or watch a movie more than once for example.

The High Priestess reminds us to learn to be aware of our intuition, this is the first step towards learning how to TRUST it.

For some of you it will be a quiet voice you hear, for others it may be more of a certain kind of feeling you get.

For example, you may be confused as to whether you should buy or sell property at this time or perhaps uncertain whether to look for a new job or start a business.

Today think about all the plans or ideas you have, or issues you are seeking answers to and as you reflect upon them notice noticing what you see, hear or feel. Our neurology and physiology reacts to our thoughts.

You watch how someone talks and their posture when they are whinging and whining and being negative compared to how someone looks, sounds and acts when they are happy and confident.

Notice how your voice sounds, your posture, your energy levels - your body tells you and others a lot about your thoughts.

Learning to be aware of that quiet voice within and listening to it will help you learn how to trust it. I know that when I trust my intuition, even if what it is telling me is not what I want to hear!! It is rarely wrong.

Our Ego, our conscious mind is LOUD and never stops talking! It takes patience and a willingness to be open to listen to our inner guide to hear the quiet voice of our intuition over the din and chatter of our Ego mind.

Connect with your own High Priestess within, seek her guidance. Whether you are male or female we all have the Divine Feminine within us, quietly waiting to answer our  questions as soon as we have the courage to look within ourselves for the answers.

Be patient and gentle on yourself as it can be challenging to discern between an intuitive thought or feeling and desire or fear. Learning to be ever more mindful of your thoughts on a daily basis will help you tune in more and more effectively with your intuition.

Respectfully,

Alison
