Tarot by KatHello everyone, here's my attempt: Like Mysti, I noticed a predominance of major arcana (well 3 out of 5 anyway!) I also noticed that most of the cards were ones that I have hardly ever pulled when I do readings for myself In particular the sun stood out (I don't know if this has any significance????) 1 Where I am The Fool I am leaving familiar surroundings, beginning a new journey Or could it mean I am being foolish, being blindly optimistic (although this doesn't sound like me today, lol!!!) or looking before I leap 2 How to improve my instinctual life 5 swords This was confusing to me as I initially thought, "What is an intellectual card doing in a position dealing with instinct???" The book gives a meaning as facing one's own limitations, or a possibility that one has taken on too much I initially thought this might mean I have to accept my instincts are limited Looking at the image on the card, we see Apollo holding 5 swords aloft A young boy (Oristes) is on the ground looking at Apollo with trepidation The card depicts Apollo telling Oristes that he must avenge the murder of his father by killing his mother Something Oristes is (understandably) reluctant to do Looking at it this way, I thought the five of swords could be trying to tell me to trust my instincts more Perhaps I have been scared to do so, letting logic get in the way What does everyone else think, or am I totally off whack here?? 3 Improving emotional life -The sun I took this to mean that the sun will come out soon after a period of darkness and things will start to get better I should remain optimistic 4 Improving spiritual life Temperance I felt this was trying to tell me to achieve a balance in pursuing my spiritual life Maybe that I shouldn't be focussing on this to the detriment of other aspects of my life which I may have been doing recently 5 Improving intellectual life King of Pentacles Do I need material security in order to develop the intellectual side of myself This could be telling me to get my home life and health in order My health isn't currently a problem, but I do have many jobs to do at home that I haven't got round to yet I do find it easier to relax and devote my time to other activities when at least the house is clean and tidy (ish!!!!) What do you all think of my interpretations Are they wildly off? Do any of you have anything further to add? I haven't been studying the tarot for very long and I value your input!
