Hi everyone! Okay, I believe It's getting through my head now
I have to agree, that I WAS being asked to do a couple third party readings by this woman (one on her daughter as well)
and although I still haven't made time to look into personal ethics reguarding readings, it makes sense
I've contacted the lady and have discussed some things with her and those particular issues have been dropped
I have to agree that third party readings are not something I believe I will be doing
Once I realized it for what it was, it fit in with some beliefs I have in my own personal life
but in order to keep THIS post short, I'll not bore anyone with those details
I want to thank everyone who had thoughts and questions to post, some of which opened my eye's to some things I didn't consider or see
Celeste: I agree that I don't think it is some sort of test or competition either
I applogize if I came off sounding like that
Rather, I was having people help me test myself
Although I think it was a rhetorical qurestion, I want to explain if I can, What I was doing at work, or how these people were helping me
It probably won't make too much sense, but here it is: what I was doing at work was having them think of a question and shuffling the cards
Then I would tell them some of the traditional meanings of the cards and what the combinations of the cards could mean
then I get the question, and then both they and I would see better how to interpret the cards various meanings
So, in essence, it was a way for me to get down a bit better, more of the traditional meanings of the cards, apply some intuition, and then the second part, when I find out the question, I get to also figure out how the cards apply to the question
With the exception of the lady in question earlier, everyone has unerstood that they are helping me, not the other way around as much
The people I approached being people I knew to some extent (again, unlike the Querant I wrote about)
basically agreeing to help me study
I use the past tense above because I have stopped all reading up to this point due to the issues raised in this post and a busy work schedule
I am definately going to bear in mind what HH has said about ethics and look into that much more
I respect the differences in opinions and the thoughts and questions everyone was kind enough to post
Again, my appologies for the length and time this post takes to read
