Tarot by Nathan

I think I still must not be explaining myself, but I do appreciate the questions and comments

One thing I want to mention, because it was addressed by two different people is the part about me not wanting to know the question up front

The reason I request this is because the people who are having me do these smaller readings are agreeing up front, to help me by validating that the interpretatoin of the cards that I give them, are indeed related to the question, which I have them tell me later

So, it's not like they are saying "here's the problem, what's the answer" so much

In these instances, I don't believe it's important for what I am trying to achieve to know the question up front

to take the medical example that was

if I were a medical student and someone came to me and said "your the doc

fix me" I wouldn't do it

IF on the other hand, I went to THEM and said I'm a medical student and would you mind helping me learn this part I am trying to learn by coming in showing symptoms at which point I will give you my impression of what I am seeing and then tell me about that which I can not read from your mind and tell me what happened and how you are feeling and then I can see how well my intuition and knowledge put together explained what I saw, and I can offer more insight

That's a poor example, but it's the only one I can think of right now

It probably sounds pretty crazy to do any sort of reading to test ones self to learn from without knowing the question first, but I can say, so far with the mini readings, I've been nailing them and it's been succesfull (knock on wood)

but like I said the people are agreeing to help ME, rather then vice versa

I'm bnot sure the above explination made anything clearer, but there it is

I know my posts have been pretty long, so I'll try to keep them shorter

the woman in question, again, was not asking my advice as far as I understand on the medical proceedure

they have already decided what they are going to do

she only wanted to know if the tower card was related to her husbands heart surgery

not about what proceedure to use or not use

she just told me what the proceedure was

so I still don't think she's asking for advice on the proceedure

only if the surgery was what the tower was reffering too

The outside influences is a pretty vague statement, that could very well mean anything from the weather to the neighbor

over time from various sources that's the only explination I have gotten for outside influences

they could mean anything

I can't site my source as to why I believe the minor cards are more specific and the major cards more of an overview

that's something I've picked up over the years as well

But just thinking about the spreads on this sight, the Universal spread for a general overview uses only the major cards, as does the spread for a genreal out look (using what some call the Celtic Cross) while the more detailed spread uses both minor and major

I only use that as an immediate example

It's is just something I have picked up along the way

The info for the Gothic Tarot I can give you however

The artist is Joseph Vargo, the publisher is Monolith Graphics, and it it copywritten 2002

Monolith does have a website as well, but i don't remember if they have a sample of the cards on their sight or not

I would think they would

okay

I scrolled down and saw the next thing, which the medical opinion came up again

I was giving my interpretation of the cards out there

and since I haven;t told her anything yet, and since it sounds like it's a "medical opinion" then I will not tell her my interpretation, which I questioned off the bat anyway and decided to post here

But I still am confused as to how telling someone I interpreted the cards to mean complications is a medical opinion in the sense of dispensing medical advice

I think it would be fair, in comparing it to saying I say I think because the skies are blue that the day will be nice, although I am not a meteorologist

I just interpret the blue sky as being a nice day, and this is what I see

so if someone e-mailed me asking what the weather was like right now, I'd look out the window and say "well, the sky is blue and the weather is warm, so to me is a nice day"

this might be another poor example, but I'm trying to explain :) about the ethics in the previous post, about most not reading for medical opinion nor third parties, I would have to say my reading was not about a medical opinion, but about what the tower card was refering to

and I am a bit confused as to the deffinition as it is being used refering to a third party

This lady e-mailed me

not someone else who then e-mailed me, but she e-mailed me directly

I think I said that in a previous post

if I didn't I appologize for not explaining myself well enough

If that IS something that is considered a thrid party reading, then I'd have to wonder why such an ethic would be out there, since there are many who do, do readings via e-mail

but again, I haven't looked into such things, but hope to make the time to do so, soon

okay - I read some more of the posts I'm trying to reply too

Yes, I came up with the three of swords interpretation based on the picture, but that was a small part, but none the less important

and based off the rest of the cards

but since I am especially not skilled in the Minor cards, I employ the help of a book,(in this instance,Tarot for a new Generation, by Jalnina Renee, copyright 2001) And I was aware of the other possible meaning of the card, however (on page 227) it says it could also mean danger to health and heart trouble

and since the woman wanted to know if the tower card was in some way related to her husbands up coming heart surgery, I questioned whether or not I was reading to much into the cards (hence my post again) It seems though that I still am not explaining myself well enough, because of the questions that are being asked (in order to help me out) but I am trying

I realize that the book and cards I cited above are recent, and that I have said I am a student, and that the way I am going about certain things may be a bit Unorthodox, and that the people this post is reaching are more advanced then I am

But at the same token I have picked up some of my particular ways and beliefs over the last 20 some-odd years, from various other readers I've known, books, exploring the tarot on my own, and with friends who are (were) interested

but I've never, until recently, decided to dive in, in the manner I have decided to recently

so I expect some of my explinations are probably unclear and confusing as to why I would attempt to do a reading for a question that someone wanted help in, without knowing the question first (for example)

It's part of a learning proccess I decided was important to me, that didn't come from any particular source

just experience

And since my experience is limited with the minor cards, or reading a combination of any cards, whether major or minor, I decide to post here to see what others thought about the cards

I see that this post is another long winded one, with me trying to explain the why's and how's of this particular reading

I surely didn't expect this much of a discussion

but it's interesting

Again, my appologies for the length and time this post takes to read

I should figure out how to put the quotes from priorposts into my reply

I think I could save space that way
