As a beginner myself, I find that each time I do a comparison reading here on the forum, I am asking myself a thousand times, now how does that (what the card is telling me) answer the querants question or how does that answer the positional meaning of the card? I myself would think that not asking what the question is would put you at a huge disadvantage
You are not trying to do a magic trick, or anything like that, you are trying to offer assistance in any way you can, and you would certainly be in a better position to do so if you knew what someone needed help in
