Tarot by NathanWhew, okay, I'll try to explain better The 4 cards are laid from left to right the two cards in the middle are the answer to the question at hand, and the two cards, one on each side of the two in the middle, are outside influences on the answer cards It's a spread of my own, based in part on a rune spread that I picked up somewhere a while ago I was under the impression from book I had read in the past that starting off with the card you want to get a clearer picture about, you could get a clearer picture by doing a new reading, with the card in question staring it all off I chose to use the minor cards, as I believe they would be able to give me a bit more of a detailed view then the major cards but why is a bit tough to explain Probably because I have seen more general spreads done with the Major cards for an overview of events and the Minor cards used for more specific overview of events I think when I did the first reading about her job, I used the Robin Wood Deck But later when she wanted me to follow up about the Tower Card, I Used the Gothic Tarot I've been using both, but never for the same reading That might have been a mistake on my part The book I used for the five of swords has a few pages for each card what I read that lead me to believe I was on the right track was - I went and got the book and re-read it - and now I wonder if I looked at the right page! The meaning is the same as what I wrote earlier I'm not sure what happend there The answer about the querants husband rather than the querant is something I questioned right off the bat the original question was about whether or not she should look for a different position with in her company Her feed back from the reading included her husband, and her fear that the tower card in the original reading was that of her husbands surgery going bad At which point the second reading cam e up to see if perhaps it WAS realting to her husbands health I don't have a written code of ethics, and I don't have a policy on third party readings at this point either I never considered that I will be looking in to that and putting some heavy thought into that She has never asked nor have I given her any medical options or insights her question only pertains to whether or not the tower card pertains to her husbands surgery and perhaps whether or not it will be successful The tower card to me suggests complications But as far as dispensing medical advice on that type of thing, she niether asked, nor would I be in a position to ever give any so it hasn't even crossed my mind But I wanted to mention that because I think somewhere someting I wrote wasn't written clear enough in this post and you mentioned it twice I wasn't asked about anything more as far as her husband goes except for whether or not the tower card in her previous reading had to do with her husband's health Not to consult thetarot for what sort of proccedure they should do I wouldn't ever read the cards for something like that What in the spread made me think complications? The three of hearts and the tower (together) What exactly are the cards saying? I'm not exactly sure that's why I put this post up :) I think they are saying that there may be complications with her husband but that in the end he will pull through but that's only if the second reading really IS about her husband I think the three of hearts suggests that it is If some other cards would have come up, I don't know that I would think that But still I question the reading because it is based off of the original reading, which at the time, was to answer her current position What I meant by what cards came up for me was simply what cards came up in the reading that I did While doing some readings, twice so far I have had to tell the person that I wasn't sure what the cards were saying but I always tell them before hand amongst other things, that I am learning and that the reason I am doing the readings I am doing is so that I may learn Also, I ask that they don't tell me the question before I do the reading only after so far, things have been going good but for the reading in question, despite not wanting to know the question up front (for my own learning purposes) she asked me up front so I went with it From your replies, I have to say, it feels like there are some things I haven't considered, like the ethics part of it, and also like I not be explaining myself well I hope this sheds more light on things Nathan
