Tarot Forum Archive - soul mates

Hello everyone I am new to the forum and am hoping someone may be able to help me

What are your views on destiny and soul mates? I became involved with someone who claimed to me mine (soul mate) and I feel that he is too

However we have broken up due to stuff beyond both of our control

He is now saying that destiny can be changed

I thought that if you were destined for something then it would happen eventually no matter what obstacles are placed in front of you

He is a pyschic and seems to have amazing abilities

He forsaw us being together and told me of our wedding

I too was told by a tarot reader of our relationship

He is claiming that things can change destiny but I thought destiny was destiny

He is just as upset at us being apart as me and it is definately not by choice on either of our parts

However he has told me to move on with my life and has "shut down" not just from me but all of our friends as well

Can anyone offer me some advice? None of my friends or family understand why I can't let this go

I feel deep down that it will be ok, that I should trust in destiny but my confidence is rocked
