I find the Crowley-Harris deck enigmatic: it seems like for every three steps I take forward in learning the multi-dimensional aspects of the deck, I take two in every other direction
I know that some people say that they do not need to understand what Crowley & Harris intended for the symbols in the deck, and at least a couple who say they have an innate understanding of the deck
My experience with the deck has been that not only do I need Crowley's book to even begin to understand the deck, but that without the book I am at a loss
Like Mysti, the small progressions I do make in learning about this deck opens new understandings of other decks as well
Once more I am the contrarian
I like the court cards and the pip cards in this deck: I find the 8-Swords to be eloquently expressive of Crowley's intention and the OGD-influences found throughout the deck
Frequently the amount of symbology in the trumps is overwhelming and stifles my intuition
