Hi Drew, I too have used Alison`s online readings, but only once, just before i became a member here
I found the reading quite accurate for the question i asked, and i gained much help from it
I had felt abit as you did, that an online reading seemed slightly detached and impersonal ( i assume thats what you mean, when you describe your essence) But i was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the result of mine
I do not think i would make a habit of trawling different sites to get readings though, i much prefer, as bluemoon said,to learn myself and be able to do my own readings, hopefully in the future i will have gained much insight to be able to do this more confidently
There are many, many tarot sites out there and most of them provide free readings, i have come across quite a few!! I think this method is ok, if only for the odd reading, but over usage of these sites could lead to confusion, especially if a person needed deeper insights to their situation
And i think, there is a danger of asking the same question over and over and only accepting the outcome, when the cards lay as you would like them to
Having said all that, i think in moderation they can be helpful,
as with most things in life moderation is the key!
