I never said the court cards were not important; I believe them to be very important indeed
I also believe that tarot is very much based on intuition
There are many tarot readers that look at Thoth and feel
strange, so they avoid bying it, prefering other decks.I simply followed my intuition in this case
I started studying the court cards at the same I studied the minor arcana; however, even though I fully understand their meaning, whenever I saw those cards I was stuck, I didn't know what to say, looked like there was a wall there
I stopped reading with court cards, feeling much better
I don't say it is the best method (far from me having that pretention) but it's the one that works for me
Obviously I'm not saying I will [b]never[/b] do reading with court cards, but for now I love reading without them
And I feel that reading without them is the right thing for me, at least for the time present (of course I understand this doesn't aplly to everybody, that would be ridiculous)
With or without the court cards, the cards will always speak to me, as long as I want (and they want :D ) and as long as I respect them, and I don't see the removal of courts as a disrespect, because it is something that can be reversed (I can always come back to them later)
