Hello Drew, welcome to the Tarot Froum

As with much of tarot you will get nearly as many answers to your questions as there are people answering

My thoughts about doing a reading more than once about a major question is that I believe when you do this, you really are weakening or losing the value of the first reading, and all subsequent readings on the same subject

Here are some guidelines for repeat readings: Ask yourself honestly if you have taken the course of action suggested by the first reading and really followed through on it yet

And another question to ask might be whether things really could have changed enough in the intervening time period to warrant an update

Usually, the answer will be no, if it has only been a week or so

And lastly, ask yourself why you feel the need for an update so soon - is there a lack of trust in the first reading, or

?? If you feel the urge to do this, you may not really be taking the responsibility on yourself to take action about the situation, and instead are hoping that something else will have changed and suddenly the whole thing will become resolved or more clear

Or it may be a delay tactic, it is easier to do another reading than to move forward with something difficult

What it is most likely to do is add enough noise and uncertainty that the situation is not any more clear, and that leads to further inaction

An overload of information just tends to feed a mind that already has a tendency to be busy, instead of calming it

If you commit yourself beforehand to following all the way through on readings that touch on major issues, the readings will have a lot more meaning - they will make real changes in your life, they will be readings that will not be forgotten or lost in a morass of many other readings on the same subject

And you may find yourself, as I do, choosing the topics of my readings carefully and sparingly, to only those things that I really want to know about and am prepared to do something about at this moment

Also, knowing how important these few readings are, there is a tendency to approach them with reverence and really prepare for them, so that the message comes through more clearly

It's in the cards! HH
