Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you but I needed to find the name of the book and author so I could answer your questions

The book I was using was Tarot Made Easy by Nancy Garen

Although the book offered alot of examples and breakdown of what a card means to a particular situation, I felt it too wordy for a beginner

Also, the deck I am using is the Celtic Tarot by Courtney Davis

This deck is a bit difficult to interpret and get a feel for b/c the minor arcana cards don't have the same pictures as RiderWaite

I like using my cards but I feel like I need to get another deck so I can understand, recognize and interpret what I'm looking at
