Tarot Lesson 8

.court cards of the wands & cups by Celeste

Hi Guys! I have thoroughly enjoyed lesson 8! The prospect of learning the court cards seemed quite daunting to begin with and indeed did and still do warrant closer study! I must say i did gel more with the cup courts, but then i have found throughout my studying my afinity with this suit

The positive characteristics as people, seemed to be on my wavelength, probably because astrologically they incorporate as well as others, my star sign of pisces

I found that the King, Queen, Knight/prince and Page/princess had alot of the same traits

.Caring, loving,reflective,intuitive,artistic,passionate,romantic and nuturing

The obvious negative side would be secretive, always trying to please others, insensitive and unable to express their emotional needs

The Wand courts at first seemed more difficult to relate to, but again because they can represent people, it was easier for me to look at their astrological star signs and be guided a little by them, their characteristics then seemed to fall into place so much better, overall i saw them as

.Fiery, bold, outspoken, leaders(not followers!), athletic, couragous, unpredictable and in a negative way possibly argumentitive and even violent! The queen of wands stood out more in that suit as being, homely, practical, warm and sympathectic! Alison`s interpretation of her says

.perhaps being reliant on others and possibly introvert and shy

I looked the queen up in other tarot books and did not get that impression of her, so i`m abit confused there! Overall, i think the wand and cup courts are not compatable and i don`t think they compliment each other either (my opinion again!) Fire and Water and all that! Infact complete opposites

An interesting scenario, which would alter my above comments would be, if the king of wands met the queen of cups, he could be charmed by her gentleness and beauty, and she could be swept away with his strength, vigour and leadership

What a wonderful romantic story that would be! They do say, in love, opposites attract! This lesson has been inspirational to me as i have made up many stories to help me learn these court cards better, i have had lots of fun inventing my stories and i`ve recorded them and my progress in my journel!! I look forward to lesson 9!
