Tarot Choosing a deck! by Celeste

Hi Breezy, I chuckled to myself when i read your post, because i have been searching for an ideal learners deck ever since i began studying tarot! I think lots of beginners are in the same predicament as you are

This is only my opinion, but probaly the best deck around, with the most written material is RWS

I have a version of this deck myself called, The Universal Waite, although i am not using it at the moment, i did in the beginning, and i have to say i found it easy to interpret and most books use the images in their pages

It is not everyones cup of tea, but in hindsight i could have carried on studying with this deck as it sort of grows on you! The deck i`m using now suits me, but i would say, give the universal waite a look, you may find it suits you perfectly

The Universal Waite Tarot, designed by Pamela Coleman Smith, under the direction of, Arthur Edward Waite, cloured by Mary Hanson-Roberts, 1990, 1992, U.S

Games Systems Inc, ISBN 0-88079-416-X
