Tarot by HHOriginally by mireille:- Hi everyone, I have done it finally! Received my new cards last week and I love them! I have done 3x3 card readings, and the last one is the one I really need help with I am using my new Universal Waite Tarot Deck Published by U.S Games Systems INC ISBN 0-88079-496-8
Hi Mireille! I will use the same deck, the Universal Waite (Although I STILL content it should be the Universal Waite-SMITH! Those line drawings are Pixie Smith’s not Waites!) The Question: Is my son going to receive his insurance money for his car (Court case on May 22nd) Card 1 - Current situation - The World Card 2 - Advice - The Sun Card 3 - Outcome – Strength
Usually:- questions that begin with “is” are answered with yes or no This spread is not necessarily conducive to yes/no answers However, let’s look at some of the different ways your cards can be interpreted in their respective positions After all, we are here to talk tarot! My comments about the cards are not meant as a critique of how you interpreted the cards in your spread, but are, rather, a commentary on the different ways the cards can be interpreted in their spread positions Also my comments will be general as I do not read the cards for anyone that has not directly requested a reading It is my personal philosophy that to do so is an invasion of privacy Now please understand that I am not making any judgements about your reading, I am only expressing my opinion based solely on how I use the cards My interpretations: Card 1 The World Having a sense that everything is working out for you, therefore your goals have been realised and you are now moving towards them
As with Van’s 3-card spread I tend to see the World in the current situation position as being about alternatives, options and choices One cycle ends, another begins In this card we are being offered the chance to deliberately decide how we will proceed Card 2 The Sun This card is here to show you that you require courage and energy You will have the confidence to accept the outcome, and the knowledge that you can succeed Or the Sun following the World could be a message about putting what amounts to a cosmetic fix on the situation I would interpret this card in this position between these two other cards as telling the querant that it is time to reenergize, reconfirm and revitalize personal commitments, taking them in a new direction that is more than a cosmetic fix, a direction that alters the core of the situation Card 3 Strength This card reminds you not to give up - have patience, because this will see you through your most difficult time You need your inner strength now
Following the Sun and the World I would be inclined to view Strength as a message about health… "Mastering others requires force; mastering the self needs strength " Lao Tsu I see this card representational of the many ways we "self-destruct": i.e our habits and our eccentricities, our seemingly inexhaustible methods of self-annihilation We are in a perpetual state of ignorance about our body and the connection between or minds, our brains and our bodies to say nothing of our connection to our environment Would we be overwhelmed if we could understand how the connections function and how it is that we dwell in an animal body? Is the life force not to be understood? If not how then can we ever hope to reconnect to the ancient and the intuitive to KNOW who we are and how we occupy our space Bodily it is relatively easy to become convinced we are ill, depressed, misused, etc A suggestion made to the body is often a command to it Life is full of distractions It is effortless to stay as we are, where we are, and how we are It is a life fraught with daemons to overcome the distractions and take the full and complete responsibility for self, body and mind Combining the masculine of the lion and the feminine of the woman is risky as well I do tend to go on, don’t I?
It’s in the cards! HH
