Tarot A reprise of some random ramblin's by HHWith some thinking on the suit of Swords (pun intended!) we can begin to see that it may not only be fitting, but also just, that this suit is considered oppressive and despotic Representing the mind, the brain; that part of our existence that is forever vigilant, forever on-guard, processing, planning, racing, fretting, analyzing over and over, anxious, worrying, troubled, always concerned with first one thing, then another Even when our body is at rest, our thinking and processing continues unabated Our interior, seldom observed by others, exposed only with difficulty, and never easy to explain; Swords is the perfect symbolical representation for the battle that rages within us While our physical and material world, Pentacles, can be well-ordered and controlled, and our emotions and creative natures, Cups, can be guided, restrained or channeled, our actions, Wands, regulated, held in check, and restrained, our thoughts, Swords, are often out-of-control and chaotic However, even the Swords have respite: analysis found in the 2-Swords and rest and recovery in the 4-Swords We are thus guaranteed of expiation and remedy as we continue our Fool’s Journey It’s in the cards!
