Tarot by Mysti

I think the 8, therefore, is a dark and sorrowful card representing something sad that has to be done, a lonely journey, an abandonment of hope, the resignation of leaving something behind and the melancholy that that brings with it

[/quote] I can certainly relate to this bluemoon

When my aunt was dying recently, the 8 of cups kept appearing

I sensed it as a journey one must go on alone

A leaving behind of the cups full of life for a spiritual journey into the unknown

I don't see it as a loss of hope, necessarily, but certainly it can represent leaving all of what one has worked for behind

I see it more as a change of direction
