Hi Mysti! Well, I think there are any number of cards that show the consequences or impact of infidelity in a relationship

However, pinpointing the infidelity itself is a trickier matter

As has been discussed elsewhere on this site, one negative manifestation of the magician is trickery and deception so if this card represents the husband, then it might indicate the deceit he is using to cover up the affair

As for the high priestess, I see her as revealing the secret of the affair rather than pointing to the infidelity itself

If other cards and positions concur, the lovers - negatively - might signify unhappiness in a relationship

The Moon, in its negative forms, is often accused of being fickle and inconstant

Really, though, once again I would look to the suits and, in particular, the cups

4 cups indicates discontent of some kind within a relationship while 8 cups depicts something sad that has to be done, the giving up of a relationship that has gone wrong, perhaps

If I had to plump for one card, though, it would be the 5 cups as it shows loss and betrayal in emotional matters

In my deck, the Mythic Tarot,* Psyche has caused her husband Eros to leave because she probed too far into his secret identity as a god; she betrayed his trust and now he is gone and the foundations of the relationship are upset

Is this anywhere near? *The Mythic Tarot J
