I started in on the rubberband story
He interrupted me, saying he found the rubberband on the kitchen floor this morning (before I got up -- yawn
)
It had been bitten in two
He threw it away
So you see, the numerological explanation was correct
I never would have looked in the trash for it and it was indeed badly damaged!
