Their ranking was based on the rules of the whist-like game that was played with them
(i am in China mainland .and tarot is not popular at all

[/quote]There are new decks appearing all the time that change the numbering and ordering of the cards from the RWS or the Thoth
There are many other decks that change the titles of the cards and their meanings
