I'm not sure what losing a card from your own deck would have to do with bad karma really
My personal belief is that there is no magic in the cards, but the magic is in the reader's ability to interpret their meaning
Perhaps if you write to the publisher of the deck they can send you a replacement for a reasonable fee
In the meantime, let us know what deck you're using and tell us more about yourself
