.the lessons you are taking are the first step, keeping a detailed journal is another step, speaking with other tarot students and hearing their ideals and insights is yet another
Learning to interpret the cards is not, or at least not to me, much different than learning any other skill
It takes time, dedication, and a willingness to stumble, and perhaps even fall, with equinimity

How do you reconcile the meanings Alison has given us with the ones that are in our *little white books*? If I take into account what both sources say, a lot of the feminine cards in my deck end up taking on almost identical meanings

When you say the feminine cards are you referring only to the trumps or are you including the court cards and the pips (the numbered cards) as well? What deck are you using? Are you using any tarot books, aside from the LWB? I definitely felt a connection with the Empress
Do you think this would be a common experience because we are all starting out on a new course? But also I got the feeling she was watching me (not in a scary way - more benevolent really)
