Mysti, I am learning to enjoy that Hierophantic conundrum! Now, with apologizes to Witchywoman, I suggest that these cards are wonderfully conducive to a storytelling spread with a timeframe of about 3 months
Using the RWS tableaus allow me to present some ideas to explore
What spiritual conditions surround me? 8 Swords 2 Pentacles Hierophant Restricted thinking and a narrow point of view leads to indecision and then to stagnation
I have allowed my thoughts to immobilize me
My path has been restricted (8-Swords) and the immobilization has narrowed my physical agility and lowered my resistance to the material side of life (2-Pentacles)
I need to pull my thoughts together, pay more attention to my physical well-being and begin to seek spiritual succor (Hierophant) in unlikely places and from unlikely people
What emotional conditions surround me? Emotional isolation and neglect bound me to being numb to the sights, sounds, and smells of the world (8-Swords) after a frenetic period of overexertion and unsuccessful attempts to juggle to many commitments (2-Pentacles)
However, a mentor will arrive and with patience and care (Hierophant) free me from my self-imposed bonds
What (general)conditions surround me? Difficulties lead me to think that nothing will ever work again (8-Swords), but with the realization that every situation is temporary and this to will an awareness of how to efficiently juggle the affairs of life (2-Pentacles) presents itself in the form of a counselor (Hierophant)
What possibilities surround me? With minimal effort I can slip the restrictions that bind me and learn to communicate effectively (8-Swords)
With improved communication skills my job opportunities will improve and be less physically stressful (2-Pentacles), with more leisure time it will be possible to matriculate and further my education (Hierophant)
