[/quote] If folks are looking to either test the cards, or me, or are looking for general information,I will complete the session by interpreting the cards in as literal a way as I possibly can based on traditional DM's (divinatory meanings)
I find that having a personal tarot system with relatively fixed interpretations of the each of the cards in the postions of the spread I am using is indispensible
When people are resistant to my style of reading I tell them that perhaps we would both be better served if they sought out other sources
I also remind them that when they seek medical attention they do not approach the doctor with the attitude of "you tell me"
Like the relationship between a medical care provider and the patient the relationship between a tarotist and a querant is one of partnership and trust
Some people are seeking a psychic reading rather than a tarot card reading and I do not hesitate to refer them
