Tarot by MegOriginally by HH:- Personally I think it is a mistake to ask for donations based upon the premise of "whatever the querant felt the reading was worth " When I go to get my haircut I do not pay the cosmetician what I feel the service was worth, when I go to dinner I do not pay what I felt the meal was worth .check around and see what the going rate for a reading in your locale is Decide if you are going to charge a flat rate, an hourly rate, or a card rate TELL your clients what your rates and do not undervalue either yourself or your services Keep in mind the adage, " You get what you pay for " Ask for what you are worth! HH [/quote] As part of my religious ethic, I've never required payment for any reading I don't read for others that I don't know that often, but I won't charge money for the art, they can donate if they want, but it's not required .since I include divination in my religious practice, I don't think it's right for me to charge someone for it However, in the case of someone who does not, or works under a different ethic, I can fully understand charging .in that case, I do agree with you, Happy :)
