Tarot Lotsa Tarot cards! by Satina
I consider myself a beginning collector and advanced student of tarot cards, personally, and my plan is to own every deck that speaks to me
I just love them, plain and simple
:-) So far, I've got: Good ol' Rider-Waite (what I learned and continue to learn on) Tiny keychain Universal-Waite (for those tarot emergencies ;-)) Small Rider-Waite (easier to use than the silly little, slippery keychain cards and great for travel) The Enchanted Tarot (well, I have the smaller version, because they're easier to handle, but I have the original book
These are my favorites because of the beautiful, complex, feminine imagery and the totally positive and uplifting interpretations
) Destiny Tarot (I was drawn to the illustrations for the Major Arcana, but it disappoints me that there are no story-pictures for the pips, so I don't use it
) My live-in girlfriend uses the Cosmic Tribe tarot, and it's amazing, beautiful, pagan, positive, and powerful
I'd use it if she wasn't, but I want to let her have it to herself, since she's all new to this tarot world and feels a close kinship with those cards
Tarot Nova, both the regular size and tiny size
(I can't stay away from tiny tarot cards! The imagery on these ones is very whimsical, but sometimes its simplified theme seems contrary to my own feelings about the card
Plus the dang things are laminated weird and stick together
.they even squeak, which I hate!) Oh, and I have the Medicine Cards
Those may have been my first oracular cards, I'm not sure
Oh, and I have rune cards, too
I think that's it
Next, I want the Diamond Tarot, this spectacularly beautiful deck I saw on this awesome site that shows tons of decks and sells them cheap
I won't post the link here in case that's a conflict, but I've never seen a site that sold them cheaper
I also want to create a gemstone tarot, based on the design of Scott Cunningham
I own about a dozen tarot books, so far, not counting the LWB's, of course
