I saw you in the introductions and thought you had gone without even looking things over
Hi Mysti, it appears that chesed's exit message was written after the message in this thread saying, "

.I bow out!!" Don't give up so easily Chesed

You will meet with many more drawbacks than the effort it takes to get started, I'm sure

Just take it one step at a time and you will get it together
Exactly

When I began to explore what was necessary in my locale it seemed nearly impossible

However, it actually took a little over two weeks to get a business license and tax id, a waiver to see clients in my home, and post an insurance bond

Most of the necessary information can be obtained with a telephone call to the local police station

That being said, I haven't a clue what I'm talking about since I don't read for money

I only read for friends

So I don't know all the legalities

The ones Happy pointed out seem to go with about any entrepreneurial enterprise though
I am always rather surprised that tarotists are not familiar with the local legalities of either charging for readings or accepting donations for readings

It seems that there is hard-to-shake myth in the tarot community that all you need to be a "professional tarot reader" is a decks of cards and the desire

I prefer to operate within the boundaries of the law, even is those laws are arbitrary and restrictive
