I would think that whether you _can _ refer to written materal would depend greatly on the venue
If you are doing email readings then sure, pull the books
I wonder what kind of an impression it would give to have a tarotist stop with the interpretation of the cards and pull a book in a one-on-one reading? Would it inspire confidence or just the opposite? In public forums there is seldom time to do more than wipe your hands and take a drink of water between readings, so consulting the books for the fine points would seem to be out of the question
I'm sure my guides can lead me through just fine, it is a matter of just biting the bullet I guess

[/quote] What is YOUR experience with reading for others and in what venues have you done readings? Are your charges based on the spread? the number of cards? or on an hourly rate? How many clients do you ahve scheduled? How frequently are they scheduled?
