Tarot by gypsyHi HH, I read your post (and I must say, I'm very impressed by the time that you had taken to check into so much of the info regarding this subject), if only more people took the time that you did, artists would not have to deal with copyright infringement You had stated that " Copyright infringement occurs when an individual reproduces copyrighted material without paying royalties or licensing fees, or without express permission of the copyright holder " That is correct People are usually under the assumption (innocently enough) that because they may have purchased a book or a CD containing artwork, that this would then entitle them to reproduce the contents, for whatever means, but that is usually not the case Most products will stipulate somewhere, either on the packaging, or even on the beginning of the CD itself (alot of times it will show up, when you are first installing the program) that it is indeed copyrighted I'm sure most people do not infringe upon the artists rights intentionally, as this is not a common area of discussion I hope this may have helped Gypsy
