The disclaimer from http://www.orphalese.net/faq/faq.htm#Tarot Why are the cards that come with the program not the ones shown? This is for copyright reasons

The set of images that we distribute with the program is copyright free, as far as we know

One of the great things about the program though is that it lets you customize it with your own images: either designs you have created yourself, decks you own that you have scanned in, or images that you have found on the internet

See our Tarot Links section for help with obtaining images

And from http://www.orphalese.net/orphalesetarot/index.htm When you click on "About" on the program's menu, you will see something like this

All the packs you can download here contain information about the pack including the author, publisher and any copyright information relating to the cards

Each pack also contains an active link to the pack's author or distributor

This indicates, at least to me, that copyrights DO apply to the decks and before they are printed in thier entirely you would need to obtain permission from the copyright holder

.I do not find anything of the website that gives explicit permission to print the decks

The conundrum drums on

ADDENDUM: I randomly clicked on several of the sites listed on the above website and found copyright identifiers similar to this one ; All images © 1997-2003 Marie White, all rights reserved, from Mary-el Tarot, on each site
