Joanne, I recently did a three-card reading for a friend of mine who tells me she has been sensing a "presence" near her which she thinks is a male who walks with a heavy step
She wakes up early sometimes and goes outside, and senses that he is with her
She thought her husband was coming up behind her once and turned, but no one was there
I used the middle card to answer the question "Who is the presence?" Then I placed one card to the left to represent "past influences" and one card to the right to represent "future implications
" I am waiting to hear her response or interpretation of the cards I drew using the Ancestral Path tarot
Interestingly, the middle card was the Prince of Cups
To me this indicated idealism and romance (not necessarily meaning "in love" but in the sense of romanticizing things, or "idealizing" them)
Or it could be an actual person (she said the presence was a man)
I feel that ultimately the usefulness of the reading depends on what the cards mean to her
