Tarot by HHOriginally by HarpieBellyRing:- Hi all Well, I'm not sure how to explain it But I'm going to try I' am trying to study the tarot cards, but in doing so, a lot of people or sites say it's ok to read yourself and all
In point of fact that is why many if not most people begin to study tarot, to read the cards for themselves Now, I refuse to read myself
Why is that? But than again, they say it's good practice to read yourself Now, I guess what I want to know, is, How will I gain more experience more naturally, and more rapidly, if I don't read for myself? What other ways can I build the relationship more stronger with my cards, if I won't be reading myself?
I know several very knowledgeable tarotists who seldom use the cards for divinatory readings Use the cards for meditation, write stories based on their icons, glyphs, symbols, the tableau Craft poems around your understanding of the cards, how they fit in the sequence from one card to the next As you study each card, look for instances of its energy in your day As you come to a personal understanding of each card create one of your own using collage, watercolours, pastels, or a combination of your choice, or hand colour a B.O.T.A deck Actively participate in discussion with other tarot students Take a tarot class Keep a journal, write song lyrics, plant a tarot garden, have a tarot dinner party… I really need to know Thanks for all who reply I would like any info, even if you have to share from your personal drawbacks Thank you
