Whitelisting Brightmail

Welcome to the interesting, unknown part of the "world of filtering." Filtering providers are companies that provide filtering services for many ISPs and mail services. They work behind the scenes, invisible to you, the end-user of e-mail.

Since they provide the filtering for so many ISPs and mail services, even Hotmail, there is a good chance that they are involved if you are having trouble whitelisting lotustarot.com domains.

Brightmail is the largest. It provides a way for you to report false-positives and win a digital camera.

UPDATE: Shortly after sitesell.com exposed the BrightMail contest, they pulled it down, as they predicted they would:
"It would seem that this contest was not a sincere attempt to get user feedback (because we certainly sent them a lot of "contestants"). But do click on the link for the full story. We have not changed that page, except for an update message (like the one that you are reading here), because BrightMail merely emphasizes the moral of this story by pulling down their "False Positive Stories contest."
